Our collaboration with UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital broadens the array of health services for children and families in the Tri-Valley by providing local access to UCSF specialists.

ValleyCare's cancer program is affiliated with UCSF Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Center, which allows our community-based cancer center access to advanced cancer therapies through telemedicine and broader dissemination of clinical trials. Telemedicine allows our physicians access to virtual tumor boards and clinical trial options, which improves cancer management at our community health care facilities. It also allows them to consult with UCSF faculty on patient care issues.



Since 2003, ValleyCare has partnered with Chabot-Las Positas College to train additional health care resources for our area. This partnership is a joint effort to alleviate a national shortage of nurses, and specifically to increase the number of nurses at ValleyCare.

The Chabot College Nursing Program Extended Campus at ValleyCare increased the enrollment in the Chabot Nursing Program from 40 to 60 students. The first ValleyCare class of ten students was accepted in August 2003 and in August 2006 enrollment increased to twenty students.

ValleyCare Physician Associates works closely with Diablo Clinical Research, a research institution that conducts Phase 1-4 clinical studies across many illnesses including Diabetes, Diabetic Neuropathy, Obesity, Cholesterol, Menopause, Migraines, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, Sexual Dysfunction and more.
